Sport Martial Arts League
HISTORY OF CREATION

 

 

In 1995 the group of Belarusian martial arts enthusiasts, led by Alexander Maltabarov, had an idea of creation of the public organization to unite combat and sport oriented martial arts amateurs. The big preliminary organizational work was held. On December 21, 1995 the Sport Martial Arts League was registered.

The next re-registration of League took place on June 22, 2007 and new State Registration Certificate № 04-0266 was granted.

For years of the existence the League has organized and has held a considerable quantity of sports events of city, regional, republican and international level. League actively co-operates with state and public organizations of Belarus, with the sports organizations of abroad, and also with the international martial arts organizations.

In 2001 the League has joined to the following international organizations: the International Martial Arts College (IMAC) and the World Karate Union (WKU). In 2007 the League became the registered member of the United Martial Arts Alliance (UMAA), and in 2009 has joined to the International Combat Martial Arts Unions Association (ICMAUA) and the Martial Arts Association - International (MAA-I). It is large all-styles organizations uniting martial artists of many countries of the world. The League represents these organizations in Belarus.

The League holds constant trainings of martial artists, instructors, coaches and sports judges.

The League sports judges serves various martial arts competitions, including the international tournaments.

The Sport Martial Arts League members successfully participate in many competitions of city, regional, republican and international scale. With a view of martial arts development and healthy way of life propagation the League members traditionally address to the population with demonstrational programs at various mass events and in educational institutions.

Sport Martial Arts League develops Tong Il Kwan Tang Soo Do, Shotokan Karate-Do, Taekwon-Do, European Karate, Self-defense, and open to other styles of martial arts.
